Spirituality for the Truth Seeker

Know I am an astrologer and a writer. But when I first began my life, I was in a charming Venus period and that lasts 20 years. It is exalted, so that was a really great period of my life. I was able to really excel in my studies and even get a scholarship to the University. it was there that I was able to start studying Philosophy and Art. When I graduated though, I had to face facts and accept a job as a social worker for the City of Boston. That’s when i started to develop some sensitivity for the suffering of others. Then I really wanted to pursue my artistic side, so I quit after two years and went to Mass college of Art and took an afternoon job at the Intensive Care Unit at the new England Deaconess Hospital in Brookline, Mass. That’s where I became interested in Medicine and married my husband who was a dental student. I became a Mother and went away to Colorado with my husband when he graduated dental school. That’s when I decided that I could do dentistry too! so I applied and was accepted. I forgot to tell you, when I went for my interview, I was 7 months pregnant! So I went through 4 yrs of dental school at Boston University with 2 kids. No easy job.

A big problem was lurking on the side lines the whole time. Boston was swamped with dentists. So, my husband was not too happy and, I’m afraid he took it out on me. Abuse. So we split right at the after my graduating. I had built all my plans on the premise of setting up a partnership with him. Out the window! I decided, after some deliberation to go into the Army Dental Corps. Thought I could retain custody of my kids. Wrong! So that’s exactly when all the unraveling started. In retrospect, as an astrologer, I now realize that it was the 36th year and that is exactly when the planet Saturn “matures.” I might add that Saturn in my chart is not well placed. It was the worst time of my life, but then spurred me on to my spiritual quest, which ended up in Nabadwip Dham at the feet of my Gurudev.
